Penguin Days at Dallas Zoo - $5 Admission in January & February

Penguin Days at Dallas Zoo Means $5 Admission in January and February

The temperature is dropping and so is the price of admission to the Dallas Zoo. Everyone age 3 and up, including adults and seniors, can visit the African penguins and all the other animals at the Dallas Zoo for just $5 per person during the months of January and February. The Penguin Days promotion is the Dallas Zoo’s way of thanking the public for their support.

Penguin Days is a great time to enjoy the warmth of the Herpetarium, Bug U!, the Jake L. Hamon Gorilla Conservation Research Station, and the Simmons Safari Base Camp at Giants of the Savanna. Parking remains at $8 per vehicle. When the temperature goes up in March, so does admission. Children age 2 and younger and Dallas Zoological Society members are always free.

The Dallas Zoo, an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, is the largest zoological experience in Texas featuring a 106-acre park, thousands of animals, and an education department that offers programs for all ages. The official airline of the Dallas Zoo is American Airlines. The Zoo is located at 650 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway (I-35 at Marsalis). Regular season admission is $12 for ages 12-64, $9 for ages 3-11 and 65+, and free for ages 2 and younger and Dallas Zoological Society (DZS) members. 1. Start Small, Stay Simple
Don’t try to organize your life all within a week. Start by implementing organization with something small (like your email) then tackle your desk and so on. Keep organizing systems simple and easy to use, and don’t waste money on all the products designed for organization. Instead, go the DIY route with these 10 common tools recommended by Houzz.

2. Do, File, Trash
Every piece of paper that comes across my desk at home or work gets labeled as “do,” “file” or “trash.” For every item with “do” I make sure the take action on by the end of every week. I file whatever I can immediately and shred everything else. At the end of every week, all three collections should be empty.

Also, the ingredients are things that can be kept in your cupboard, so it’s an easy meal to make on the fly. Because sometimes it’s cold out, and you just can’t see yourself making it out of your house! The recipe is below. It’s  SOOOOOO YUMMY!!! Try it! Continue reading »
