Here’s a great offer from Scholastic Books and Kumon Learning Centers. Your child can earn up to five FREE Scholastic books by completing math and/or reading worksheets. Children can earn two books by completing one activity sheet and five books by completing two activity sheets. The promotion allows for a maximum of five books per household. This page has more information about how to enter. This page has the official rules and regulations for this promotion.

I just downloaded the worksheets for twin brother and twin sister and they look like they’ll be fun for the kids to do. I guess I’ll have them pick one type of activity and then each can submit for two free books!

Thanks Lea Ann!

I was browsing through the Barnes&Noble.com site because they’re having their Spring Sale Spectacular and a TON of books are 45% off! I came across their online story time page that reads popular stories out loud for FREE! What a great way to keep my kiddos occupied for a few minutes and enrich their minds at the same time. Of course, there’s nothing like one-on-one reading time with my kids, but this is a great alternative if you’re in a pinch. I’m so going to take advantage of this.

It looks like there are currently 10 videos available and they feature a different video each month. At the time of this posting, Rachael Ray is narrating the Dr. Seuss classic Green Eggs and Ham.

Check it out when you get a chance.

St. Patrick’s Day falls during Spring Break which means I’m looking for fun things for my twins to do right now so I’m ready when they get bored. I have a couple of 7-year-olds so things like printable games and easy crafts work best. I started searching and found some really cool stuff!

St. Patrick’s Day Dominoes
DLTK-cards.com let’s you create custom Dominoes printables in color or black and white. Choose the St.Patrick’s Day theme and print them out on card stock.

Kissed Blarney Stone
This is a cute idea from kaboose.com. My kids love to paint rocks so this will be a good project for them. And, I can easily find nice sized rocks in my yard so all I need is the paint!

Paper Plate Leprechaun
Here’s a cute paper plate leprechaun from kidscrafts.com that will add a sense of fun and festiveness to your child’s room.

Hope these fun activities will bring a smile to your child’s face. I’m sure my kiddos will love working on them!
