Harvest Hustle - Nov 9th at Fair Park - Support the Homeless

On Saturday, Nov 9th, join other DFW families at Fair Park to help Dallas’ homeless by participating in Harvest Hustle

Slappy and Monday - Harvest Hustle

Family Friendly Fun

Make an ordinary day extraordinary by celebrating the magic of autumn and attending the Harvest Hustle, formerly the Help the Homeless Walk & 5K. Not only can you support this good cause with your participation, but you can also enjoy lots of family friendly entertainment at the event including appearances from Dallas/Fort Worth’s all-time favorite queen and king of laughter, Slappy and Monday; circus performances from Lone Star Circus, music, a slimy experience from Mad Science of Dallas, a mobile milking presentation by Southwest Dairy Farms, face painting and more!

Slappy and Monday will delight you with their hilarious antics. When we saw them perform during Cirque Banquiste, presented by Lone Star Circus last December, we laughed until our bellies ached. And, Lone Star Circus is not to be missed! Read about my family’s experience and check out the fabulous photos we took at Cirque Banquiste.

Where does the money go?

Funds raised at Harvest Hustle benefit Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA).  MDHA provides innovative, data-driven solutions to prevent and end homelessness in Dallas and Collin counties.

Lone Star Circus - Jesse Patterson - Harvest HustleThe difference you can make

The 2013 walk is dedicated to solving family homelessness. More families than ever have become homeless because of foreclosures and job losses in recent years. Dallas schools had more than 2,500 homeless students last school year. Thousands of children across North Texas are living in shelters, cars, motels and other temporary places. The nonprofit Alliance and its partners have developed more than 2,000 homes for people with disabilities in recent years. That has led to a 66 percent reduction in chronic homelessness in Dallas County!  The Alliance provides the leadership needed to solve homelessness through planning, advocacy and data management.
