Stop by the Plano Centre on Saturday, November 5th between 10am and 4pm and enjoy the great energy of the North Texas Kids Family Expo. This is a FREE event for families that will have the best in educational resources, entertainment, shopping, and products and services designed to enrich the lives of babies, children and families throughout the Metroplex.  More than 100 vendors will be on hand to ensure a day of giggles and fun!

This year’s event benefits Sci-Tech Discovery Center, a non-profit dedicated to providing dynamic educational experiences that inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace discovery and innovation through the active exploration of science, math and technology.

North Texas Kids has planned a number of fabulous activities for children to enjoy at their Expo—check this out:

I was browsing through the Barnes&Noble.com site because they’re having their Spring Sale Spectacular and a TON of books are 45% off! I came across their online story time page that reads popular stories out loud for FREE! What a great way to keep my kiddos occupied for a few minutes and enrich their minds at the same time. Of course, there’s nothing like one-on-one reading time with my kids, but this is a great alternative if you’re in a pinch. I’m so going to take advantage of this.

It looks like there are currently 10 videos available and they feature a different video each month. At the time of this posting, Rachael Ray is narrating the Dr. Seuss classic Green Eggs and Ham.

Check it out when you get a chance.
