Harvest Hustle - Nov 9th at Fair Park - Support the Homeless

On Saturday, Nov 9th, join other DFW families at Fair Park to help Dallas’ homeless by participating in Harvest Hustle

Slappy and Monday - Harvest Hustle

Family Friendly Fun

Make an ordinary day extraordinary by celebrating the magic of autumn and attending the Harvest Hustle, formerly the Help the Homeless Walk & 5K. Not only can you support this good cause with your participation, but you can also enjoy lots of family friendly entertainment at the event including appearances from Dallas/Fort Worth’s all-time favorite queen and king of laughter, Slappy and Monday; circus performances from Lone Star Circus, music, a slimy experience from Mad Science of Dallas, a mobile milking presentation by Southwest Dairy Farms, face painting and more!

Slappy and Monday will delight you with their hilarious antics. When we saw them perform during Cirque Banquiste, presented by Lone Star Circus last December, we laughed until our bellies ached. And, Lone Star Circus is not to be missed! Read about my family’s experience and check out the fabulous photos we took at Cirque Banquiste. Continue reading »

Greek Food Festival of Dallas

Enjoy all your favorite Greek foods, discover new ones, and lose yourself to the sights, sounds and traditions of Greece at the 56th annual Greek Food Festival of Dallas, a fun, 3-day outdoor event for the whole family.

Event Dates & Times are:

Friday, September 28 — 4 PM to 11 PM
Saturday, September 29 — 11 AM to 11 PM
Sunday, September 30 — 11 AM to 4 PM

Besides the mouth-watering medley of traditional entrees and sides you can purchase at the festival, you can enjoy a live band, traditional Greek folk dancing, and spirited taverna-style music and dance (and plate smashing!). Center stage will feature the Festival Dancers who will bring dance traditions from throughout Greece to life.

On Friday night from 5 – 7pm, learn a few dance steps from the Festival Dancers and try your hand at the OPA! Hour dance contest. OPA! Hour also features giveaways, special guests, and a chance to win a trip for two to Greece!

If dancing isn’t your thing, you can take one of the cooking demos offered each night, browse through the Agora marketplace featuring creations of Greek and Greek-American artists and artisans, or stop by one of the other Festival attractions.

The Greek Food Festival of Dallas also has a Children’s Area where kids can enjoy sand art & crafts, caricature artists, face painting, and more.

Admission to the Festival is $6 for adults. Children 12 and under are FREE, but you need to print out a voucher for them to get in. Get Tickets.

For more information, visit the Greek Food Festival of Dallas’ website: or connect with them on Facebook.
